Our Impact

Through programming, we provide in-school weekly group mentorship and mental health education and support services to students by Licensed Clinicians who are apart of their communities at no cost to the students and their families.

Students also complete group volunteer outreaches and a leadership development project.

BF is currently providing 20 weeks of programming to 12 H.S. Columbus City School’s students.

With some of the primary barriers for seeking professional mental health treatment being:

BF helps children receive accessible, safe, culturally inclusive and relatable mentorship and mental health services with providers who are a part of their communities in the now. 

When students are supported through school-based mental health services, they are more likely to build self-awareness, effective social skills, and contribute to fostering a positive school environment which can also increase student learning. Additionally, in-school based MH support services equip students to graduate high school and thrive in life (National Council for Community Behavioral Health, 2011).

Our programming series are facilitated by Licensed Clinicians who have the expertise to address the following challenges impacting the lives of girls.

Student Programming Wins

Please note, Beautifully Flawed does not provide direct individual or group therapy; however, programming sessions are facilitated by Licensed Clinicians. Our programming does not substitute the need for individual therapy or crisis resources. For high-risk identified students, our program will contact the student’s family, and refer the student and their family to counseling resources and/or intensive inpatient or outpatient care for continued support.
